moma : lobby experience

Challenge – Deliver an integrated technology platform, curated content and real time image manipulation engine to drive 9 main and 4 auxiliary displays for the MoMA lobby.

Solution – Partnering with IBM and ImaginaryForces, we developed and designed a software and aesthetic solution to meet not only a short deadline but the highest standards imaginable to the tune of 9000 unique visitors… daily.

A digital fingerprint of the new MoMA in Manhattan, 9 HD screens provide content on events, exhibitions, collections, art and commerce, and a theatrical transitional curtain that showcases the collections, providing both information and ambience. A complete front and backed solution pulling images from the museum’s archives, as well as contextual and time specific information produce a stunning canvas stretched across the lobby, welcoming and informing visitors about current and upcoming shows while reaveling images from the museum’s permanent collection.
