The question we asked ourselves was: could we combine a notebook and a tablet? Alone, both have advantages and disadvantages, however if they could be brought together in an an elegant and useful way, would the sum be greater than the parts?
After over six months of experimenting the answer is yes and the CoverNote is the result. It’s slim, feels great in your hands, looks and acts like your favorite notebook, and gives you quick access to your iPad, all in a single package.
As a team we come from different worlds: product design, manufacturing, packaging, experience design, and software. CoverNote is our exploration of the intersection of the traditional and the technical that scratches an itch we all have.
Integrated to work together – CoverNote brings the notebook and the iPad together in a completely integrated manner. Neither gets in the way of the other.
Smart Cover, But of course – A basic requirement of any great iPad case. Close the cover and your iPad will turn off. Open the cover and your iPad turns on.
Quality Norebooks – The notebook inserts are handmade by the folks at Miro Notebooks in Salt Lake City, UT and designed specifically for the CoverNote. Choose from lined, graph, or blank 90 gsm paper.
iPad and Touch-Friendly Materials – We paid special attention to quality and feel of materials used throughout, including lining the notebook cover and case with organic cotton felt to ensure your iPad is always protected.
Paper quality! – Every notebook insert uses American-made, sustainably produced paper from the Mohawk Paper Co. of Cohoes, NY.
Make it Yours – In addition to paper type (lined, graph, blank), mix and match colors of your case cover, the edges of your paper, and the case fastener strap.
